In 2016 over 90,000 Christians died for their faith, that is one Christian death every six minutes. This is due in part to regime change in countries invaded and bombed by the United States. In Syria, before the current war, Christians were a protected minority, and in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, as evil as he was, Christians flourished and prospered as long as they stayed out of politics. Now Christians are almost nonexistent in Iraq, and ISIS continues to crucify and behead Christians in the part of the country they control. If Assad is deposed in Syria, and regime change occurs there, undoubtedly Christians will face the demonic wrath of ISIS Islam.
This Resurrection Day (Easter), as you worship the risen King, please remember that your brothers and sisters in the faith are suffering horribly. Pray for their strength, and pray that if Trump continues throwing bombs around the world that decent leadership will come to power. Obama caused regime change in Egypt and Christians are suffering horribly, indeed, on Palm Sunday, as Christians worshipped, the Islamic State bombed two churches and 44 more Christians became martyrs for their faith.
